 Size DOES Matter!

When choosing prints, gallery wrapped canvases or framed prints for your home, you tend to think that a 16 x 20 size will fit nicely in those large spaces... in your living room, above the sofa or in the dining room behind the table... but once you look at this diagram, you see that in comparison, a 16 x 20 size is not very large! This 30 x 40 wrapped canvas fits the space much better. If you'd like to stick with the 16 x 20, you could always order three or four different prints ro coordinate the space together.

A nice way to feel confident about the sizes you are choosing is to draw your size on a piece of paper to make a template. Place your template in different areas of your home to see how the size will compliment the room and go from there! Photojournalistic Portraits & Traditional Portraits

The photojournalistic approach to photography has become very popular for recording events in recent years. But, not everyone knows exactly what the term means. When the camera was invented, there was only one way to pose for a portrait... by standing very still for a very long time. Which is why when you look at much older photos, no one is smiling.  Again, when digital cameras were introduced, photographers needed their subjects to hold a pose to be sure they captured them. As technology has changed, photographers using digital cameras can now capture shots as they occur.

Photojournalistic images are produced when the photographer takes images without directing or changing your event.  A story is being told through your photos. And, you can often see the whole story from just one image.

Traditional portraits on the other hand, are generally setup and the individuals are posed.  You're given time to fix your hair and make sure there's nothing in your teeth.  They also require time away from your event.

One isn't better than the other. Many people decide that they'd like a little of both for their sessions, which is a great option to choose (especially for weddings). No matter what, the most important person is YOU... and you ultimately deserve to get what you want from your session!
